Marketing and Social Media Assistant

The Marketing and Social Media Assistant will develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement, expand our reach and increase revenue. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company’s success. This position is flexible, Monday to Friday, and averages 15-20 hours per week. There is also an opportunity for this position to become a full-time role.

The duties and responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the design of e-books, digital magazines, workbooks, courses, websites, and promotional materials for AWC and our clients

  • Assist with the design and execution of data-driven social media campaigns for AWC and our clients

  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites

  • Create and distribute content such as social posts, blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets 

  • Create and schedule weekly, branded emails

  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability

  • Assist with guest outreach and coordination for the podcast

  • Manage post-production coordination with other team members to ensure quality and timely publication of each episode

  • Run point on episode promotion and track effectiveness

  • Secure additional, valuable guest podcast and speaking opportunities 

  • Assist with client campaigns including but not limited to social media research, content creation, and public relations outreach

  • Support other marketing initiatives as needed


Attributes, skills, and talents required:

  • Must be a quick learner

  • Must look for solutions v. waiting for answers

  • Canva proficient

  • Zoom proficient

  • Excellent internet research skills

  • Well versed in social media platforms 

  • Detail-oriented

  • Creativity is required 

  • Excellent written and verbal skills 

  • Website experience is a plus

  • Mailchimp experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of analytics software is a plus

  • Video editing is a plus

  • Social media ad experience is a plus

  • Must have a positive attitude and bring joy to work each and every day



This position will start part-time but has the ability to develop into a full-time position. The majority of the time it will be remote but you will need to be available for occasional, in-person meetings as needed. Must have own transportation, laptop, and internet access at all times.
