I’m thrilled to introduce you to MaryKatherine Black. She currently lives in Southern California where she spent three years working in the anti-human trafficking industry and traveling with Propel Women conferences. She recently started a digital fashion brand, Yellow The Label.
MaryKatherine gives so many valuable pieces of advice during this episode. She shares the story of how she decided to pursue a clothing brand, the challenges that she faces and how her perspective has shifted about money and business since taking the leap!
Some highlights include:
If you’re willing to invest in your education - be willing to invest in your business.
Use the gifts you have and build your business around them.
Customer service is everything - even bad experiences can convert customers into forever fans if they are handled appropriately.
Don’t hold yourself back because you don’t think you’re ready - It doesn’t have to be perfect before you release it out into the world.
Your life doesn’t need to be a one-way trajectory - it’s okay to pivot along the way so don’t apply unnecessary pressure to yourself to get it 100% right out of the gate.
She is a phenomenal woman who I’ve had the chance to know and love over the last decade. I’m excited for her to share her story with you and what prompted her to leave her job and go all in to start a clothing line!
